? Full lifecycle of a billing solution for Internet- and DNS-services
âť“ CHALLENGE
DTAG requested Telesens for the development of an interim solution for processing and billing of the whole IP-traffic and DNS services of its Internet provider T-Online.
The biggest challenges of the project were the need to synchronize contracts with 62Â customer service centers located throughout Germany and passing the bills in different formats into a variety of internal systems, inclusive mainframe-based ones.

A full development cycle starting from business analysis and ending with the maintenance of the system and the implementation of change requests for 5 years was performed by Telesens.
After the business analysis phase, Telesens proposed typing and parameterization of tariffs which allowed to reduce the number of unique tariff models from 10,000 to 5. The proposed types of tariff models de facto became the DTAG standard.

? Proof of Concept for a generic data model benchmarking

The main goal of the PoC project was the implementation of an Inventory Management system for DSLAM equipment (FlexProd ) using a generic data model proposed by the Fraunhofer Institut Techno- und Wirtschaftsmathematik and its performance and load testing on nearly-real data volume.

?‍? A Clearing House for Number Portability in DACH countries
âť“ CHALLENGE
Company provided clearing-house services to network operators in Europe (Germany- Swiss-Austria) and performed matching between number porting events using their own software. In 2008, according to the new PDAV-specification, this process was changed significantly, so that the legacy software wasn’t able to calculate these data anymore. The company faced a challenge — how to develop from scratch and put into operation a new system within 3-4 months. The decision for outsourcing was made and Telesens was chosen as a service provider.

A customer of NEC Corp., a big mobile operator, requested an update of their long used NECÂ RBM Platform in order to make it compliant to requirements of virtual deployment, services provision in IP, and VoLTE networks.
The challenges of the project were: a large number of subscribers (>10M), geographically distributed deployment (5 sites) and services (9 time zones), new specific wide-band codecs support.

? Reengineering of legacy applications
âť“ CHALLENGE
The operator had a lot of self-developed addendums to its billing system for pre-paid subscribers, about 200 medium-size applications developed using the JRM framework. The ad-hoc nature of these developments and lack of associated documentation resulted in unmanageable storage of executable modules and source code. The operator asked its system integrator, Atos Origin AG, for complete reengineering of this area in order to enable efficient support of the billing environment.

Telesens acted as a subcontractor to ATOS and was fully responsible for reengineering, documenting source control, and support of all JRM modules.
A functional specification was created for each module. Existing sources were compiled and checked against the live versions. A change management process for the JRM environment was set up. Refactored applications are in service during the last ten years and followed with support and change-requests-implementation by Telesens.

It is a vivid example of an integration project — is a solution for data collection, exchange, and integration for cross-site and cross-enterprise collaboration that we successfully finished.
In this project Telesens was acting as a subcontractor of a German company AMDIS, providing them with a dedicated team.
The project was intended for a big international company (USA-Europe) that produces equipment and needs a solution to synchronize spare parts warehousing and ordering processes among all the locations.Â

The solution interacts with numeric ERP systems (SAP, Infor) and a cloud-based CRM (SalesForce), and provides numeric capabilities such as warehouse data storing, data unification, data consolidation, sales process automation. The solution enables business processes to span multiple applications, ensures data consistency between applications by executing data exchange between participating applications, enables the secure exchange of data with internal and external business partners.

The T-RBT is a solution for operators, subscribers, and content providers platform for high quality personalized audio content instead of “long beeps”. The T-RBT software package allows us to modernize voice services, move to a new online and offline integration level, and minimize operating costs.

Difficult and multi-stage work: installation and testing process, trial operation and confirmation of the readiness of the T-IC system for continuous operation. The T-IC system uses a two-tier client-server architecture: Client - T-IC operates under OS MS Windows (XP, Vista). Server - Any platform that supports Oracle can be used as the hardware for the database server and call server. The T-IC system is operated on the following types of servers: SUN platform running Solaris. HP platform running HP-UX. Intel platform running AIX. Intel x86 platform running Linux.
